Sue and Mark were married on May 31, 2014 at the beautiful Greystone Hall in West Chester, PA. From the hotel gift bags with champagne, chocolates, and a Jane Austin library candle to the card catalog escort cards displayed in antique books to her Kate Spade book clutch (like this one), all of the details from Sue and Mark’s library-inspired wedding were perfect. The ceremony was performed by Sue’s brother Larry and included a special letter ceremony, where letters from their parents and the couple were placed into a locked box that would be opened on their 5th wedding anniversary.
The wedding stationary was designed and printed by The Papery. The ceremony and cocktail music was performed by Philadelphia String Quartet, with electric strings playing during the first hour of the reception. DJ Bucky Scott had guests dancing into a conga line to Pharell’s “Happy,” while John Shetron photographed this and all of the special moments of the day. Shutterbooth provided the photo booth, while the couple provided the safari themed props. Sue and Mark went to Africa for their honeymoon!. Their grand entrance to Toto’s “Africa” was another nod at their upcoming trip.
Artist Denise Fike created amazing fashion sketches of guests throughout the night. The florals and decor were designed by Uncommon Events. Sage Catering provided the food, which included a late night snack of cheeseburgers and fries, while The Master’s Baker provided the 4-tier pale blush fondant cake with white lace work and peony flowers. A 1962 Rolls Royce from First Class Luxury Limo brought the bride to Greystone and took the couple home at the end of the night.
