Stephanie and Gene got married on May 10, 2014 at The Lake House Inn, in Perkasie, PA. The bride and bridesmaids had a blast getting ready in the bridal suite, while the groom and groomsmen played pool in the groom’s room. Steph’s dress was incredible! And I loved the pops of red from her lipstick and shoes.
As guests arrived, they were greeted with the sweet sounds of the Cherrywood String Quartet and fresh lavender lemonade, hibiscus iced tea, and herbed water. The Lake House Inn provided an idyllic background for the outdoor ceremony. After waiting for a few rain clouds to pass, the sun began to shine and the ceremony could begin. The ceremony ended with a rainbow. If rain on your wedding day signifies good luck, what does a rainbow mean?! Photographers Tyler and Derek, of Tyler Boye Photography, were there to capture this and many other beautiful moments.
DJ Bob Mills of Philly Event Group got the reception started off right. Floribunda provided the beautiful purple and red florals. Guests were surprised to find live betta fish swimming in fish bowls that hung from the tall centerpieces. They were even more excited to find out they could take the fish home at the end of the night, along with a kit that included a travel bowl and fish food. I should probably mention that the bride is a vet!
There were so many special touches and memorable moments throughout their day. The couple made the wine favors. One of the best men is in the military and was unable to get leave, so his co-best man read his emailed speech. The bride’s family from Curacao made traditional Black Cake, which is a rum fruitcake that is wrapped in foil for the guests to take home. It was a truly beautiful day!
