Alison and Dan first met at camp when they were 12 years old so they wanted to elegantly incorporate playful, rustic, and “campy” elements, and it was done perfectly! From the applesauce place card favors that were made by the bride and her new sister in law to the original watercolor ketubah that featured Camp Harlam in the background, we love all of the sweet and personal details of their October 5, 2013 Horticulture Center wedding.
The stationery was designed and printed by Printerette Press. Beautiful Brides Philly provided hair and makeup services. Unforgettable Affairs created the gorgeous florals. We’re obsessed with Alison’s bouquet. The colors, the textures, everything about it. We also love the succulent boutonnieres that were accented with rosemary and twine.
As guests arrived, they were greeted with fresh apple cider by Stephen Starr Events, the exclusive caterer to the Horticulture Center. The ceremony took place outside in front of the Reflecting Pool and was followed by cocktails in the Display Garden.
Lighting can really help transform a space, and Eventions Productions did just that with amber uplighting of the Display Garden and Main Greenhouse, as well as an amber textured dance floor wash. Philly Event Group‘s 9-piece band, Encore, had guests on the dance floor all night long. Videographer Stoner Media was on hand to film the special moments. Not only did Asya Photography capture the all of the amazing little details, but also Alison and Dan’s sweet and fun-loving personalities.
After dinner, guests enjoyed delicious cake by Bredenbeck’s Bakery, which featured three different layers: almond poundcake with nutella filling, chocolate chip poundcake with cannoli filling, and sour cream poundcake with caramel filling. Mini s’mores were the highlight of the mini desserts, and the perfect end to this camp-inspired wedding.
